UBS Names Beatriz Martin Group COO in Broad Reshuffle
UBS announced a senior management reshuffle effective Jan. 1, 2026, naming Beatriz Martin Group Chief Operating Officer; she will retain her roles as President EMEA, UK Chief Executive and head of Non‑Core and Legacy and will help complete the Credit Suisse integration alongside Group Operations and Internal Consulting and Governance. Michelle Bereaux will move from Group Chief Integration Officer to Group Head Compliance and Operational Risk Control and will relinquish integration duties. Markus Ronner, current Chief Compliance and Governance Officer, has been nominated as vice chairman to succeed Lukas Gähwiler, who will not stand for re‑election at the April 2026 AGM and will retire after a 45‑year career. Mike Dargan will remain Group Chief Technology Officer with an expanded focus on technology platform development, AI and digital assets. Responsibility for Governmental and Regulatory Affairs will transfer to Group CFO Todd Tuckner and Group Security will be integrated into Human Resources and Corporate Services. UBS said the changes are intended to complete the Credit Suisse integration by end‑2026 and pursue growth; the announcement coincided with the group raising guidance and shares rising to multi‑year highs.
