Cass County Teen Found Dead; California Girl Missing

The California Highway Patrol issued an endangered missing advisory on Oct. 5, 2025, for 13-year-old Keytlin Gonzalez of San Jose, who was last seen Sept. 18 at about 7:30 a.m.; she is described as 5-foot-7 with black hair and brown eyes and was wearing a gray sweater and black pants, and anyone who sees her is asked to call 911. In Cass County, Michigan, 16-year-old Kyle McMannis, a nonverbal teen with autism, walked away from his family’s camper at the Willow Shores Campground off U.S. 12 and was reported missing around 9 a.m. Multiple agencies — including the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Southeast Public Safety Authority, Porter Township and Indian Lake fire departments, a MedFlight helicopter, K-9 Britton, a drone team and dive teams — conducted an extensive search. K-9 Britton indicated he had entered Baldwin Lake, a drone located Kyle’s body under the water around 3:25–3:30 p.m., dive teams recovered him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say the incident remains under investigation.
