Multiple Rock Stars Unite for 2026 Freezing Man Epilepsy Benefit in Madison
The second annual Freezing Man benefit concerts will take place on January 9 and 10, 2026, at The Sylvee in Madison, Wisconsin, to raise funds for Joey’s Song, a nonprofit dedicated to epilepsy research and education. The event will feature over 35 renowned musicians, including members of Cheap Trick, The Bangles, The Go-Go’s, Garbage, Big Star, Toto, Silversun Pickups, Portugal. The Man, and others, with Butch Vig serving as musical director. The first night will be an intimate unplugged show with storytelling, while the second night will be an electric concert starting with a Battle of the Bands between Vig's Know-It-All Boyfriends and the Know-It-All Girlfriends, culminating in an all-star jam session. Founded 15 years ago in honor of Joey Gomoll, who died of Dravet Syndrome, Joey’s Song has raised over $1.75 million through previous benefit concerts and partnerships with epilepsy organizations. Tickets go on sale at JoeysSong.org, with special auctions of memorabilia and VIP packages also available. The event underscores the ongoing commitment of prominent artists to support epilepsy research and patient advocacy through music.
