TERN Group Raises $24M Series A Led by Notion Capital to Expand Global Healthcare Workforce
TERN Group, a UK-based AI clinical workforce platform with significant operations in India, has raised $24 million in a Series A funding round led by Notion Capital, bringing its total funding to $33 million. The platform addresses the global healthcare workforce shortage by enabling faster, transparent, and ethical recruitment of healthcare professionals, primarily focusing on Indian nurses and care workers pursuing international careers. TERN Group's AI-driven system integrates sourcing, credentialing, training, and onboarding, currently supporting over 650,000 professionals and working with more than 100 global healthcare providers, including multiple NHS Trusts. The fresh capital will be used to expand into new geographies, enhance the AI platform, and scale training and operational capabilities to support thousands more professionals annually. Founded by IIT Bombay alumni Avinav Nigam and Krishna Ramkumar, the company has grown tenfold in the past year, generating nearly Rs 200 crore in annualized revenues and operating in 13 countries such as the UK, Germany, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. TERN Group collaborates with entities like the National Skill Development Corporation and the Trained Nurses' Association of India to ensure large-scale training and compliance amid the predicted global shortfall of 18 million healthcare workers by 2030.
