Sky Unveils Will Sharpe as Mozart in New Amadeus Series

The upcoming Sky Original limited series "Amadeus" stars Will Sharpe as the musical prodigy Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, exploring his meteoric rise and mythic downfall in 18th-century Vienna. The five-part series, adapted by Joe Barton from Peter Shaffer’s award-winning stage play, delves into Mozart's turbulent relationship with his devoutly religious rival Antonio Salieri, played by Paul Bettany, and his fiercely loyal wife Constanze Weber, portrayed by Gabrielle Creevy. As Mozart’s brilliance and popularity grow, he faces skepticism from the conservative Viennese court, while Salieri becomes increasingly jealous and obsessed with destroying Mozart’s legacy.
