Hallmark Recalls Cad Bane Ornaments in U.S. and Canada

Hallmark has issued a recall for its Star Wars-themed Christmas tree ornament featuring the character Cad Bane from 'The Book of Boba Fett' due to mold exposure risks. Approximately 11,100 units were sold in the U.S. and 548 in Canada between September and October 2024. The mold growth was caused by the brown paint on the ornament not fully drying before packaging. Although there have been reports of mold on the ornaments, no injuries have been reported to date. Consumers are advised to return the ornament for a full refund, with no receipt required, either at Hallmark Gold Crown stores or online. The recall was announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, highlighting potential respiratory issues for individuals with mold allergies or compromised immune systems.
