Jack Draper Adds Jamie Delgado, Former Andy Murray Coach, Ahead 2026 Season

British number one tennis player Jack Draper has hired Jamie Delgado, former coach of Andy Murray, as his new head coach for the 2026 season, while James Trotman, who has coached Draper for four years, will remain involved but reduce his travel commitments. Draper has modeled much of his support team after Murray's, also employing Murray's former fitness trainer Matt Little and physiotherapist Shane Annun. Draper's 2025 season ended early due to a persistent bone bruise in his left arm, which restricted him to just one match since Wimbledon, forcing him to withdraw from the US Open and call time on the season to allow proper healing. Delgado's extensive coaching experience at the highest level, including guiding Murray to a Wimbledon title and world number one ranking, is expected to help Draper maximize his potential as he prepares for a comeback in December at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown in London. The coaching change reflects Draper's determination to build on a career-high ATP ranking of world number four achieved in mid-2025 despite injury setbacks. Trotman's desire to spend more time with family partly motivated the coaching transition, with Draper now having two elite coaches sharing the extensive tour workload.
