Angels Place Yoan Moncada on Injured List

The Angels have promoted infielder J.D. Davis to fill in the gap, while Luis Rengifo has been covering third base during Moncada's absence. Moncada, in his first season with the Angels after a $5 million deal, had been attempting to play through the discomfort but ultimately exacerbated the injury during recent games.
