Paul George Signs with 76ers for $212M

Paul George has decided to leave the Los Angeles Clippers and is set to sign a four-year, $212 million max contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, joining MVP Joel Embiid and Most Improved Player Tyrese Maxey. The 34-year-old All-Star forward averaged 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists last season. The Clippers, who traded for George in 2019, were unable to meet his contract demands, offering only a three-year deal. Meanwhile, the Clippers have agreed to a two-year, $70 million contract with James Harden. The 76ers have cleared over $61 million in cap space to facilitate George's acquisition, making them strong frontrunners for his signature.
