George Baldock Estate to Son After Athens Death

George Baldock, 31, the former Sheffield United and MK Dons defender who was playing for Panathinaikos, was found dead in the swimming pool at his Athens home in October 2024; an inquest recorded an accidental death and found no alcohol or drugs in his system. He had been due to fly back to England the next day to celebrate his son Brody’s first birthday. Probate documents show Baldock’s estate was valued at £5,781,399 gross and £4,091,003 net after debts, and because he died intestate the money will pass automatically to his next of kin. Court papers state the funds will be administered by his fiancée, Annabel Dignam, for the use and benefit of minor Brody Baldock until Brody turns 18. Family and Annabel issued emotional tributes; Baldock, born in Buckinghamshire, had earned 12 caps for Greece through eligibility via his grandmother.
