Memphis Police Shoot Driver After Vehicle Strikes Officer, Suspect Dies

On June 13, Memphis police officers approached a suspicious Nissan Armada near Park Avenue and Grand Street, leading to an officer being struck by the vehicle in an apparent intentional act. In response, another officer fired shots at the driver, critically injuring him, while the struck officer sustained minor injuries.
