Baltimore Orioles Sale includes Cal Ripken Jr

Private equity billionaires David Rubenstein and Mike Arougheti, along with Orioles legend Cal Ripken Jr, are reportedly buying the Baltimore Orioles from owner Peter Angelos for $1.725 billion. Rubenstein is expected to become the Orioles' control person. The investors will initially acquire a 40% stake in the club, which will rise to 60% upon Peter Angelos' demise. The deal, which needs MLB approval, also includes an extension of the team's lease at Camden Yards.
