The 437-foot homer surpassed Alfonso Soriano's previous record of 13 set in 2003. This home run was also Schwarber's 35th of the season, contributing to his impressive total of 45 leadoff homers throughout his career, with 32 coming since joining the Phillies in 2022. However, Schwarber was removed from the game in the fourth inning due to left elbow discomfort, raising concerns about his health as the Phillies vie for a playoff spot. Despite a recent slump, Schwarber has hit seven home runs in his last eight games. He currently leads the Phillies in home runs and RBIs, with 95 to his name this season.
