Jorge Martin Wins First MotoGP Championship

Jorge Martin has claimed his first MotoGP title in 2024, becoming the first independent champion in the MotoGP era after finishing third at the Catalan GP. Despite only winning three races this season, Martin's consistency shone through with 32 podium finishes out of 40 races, securing the championship 10 points ahead of defending champion Francesco Bagnaia, who won 11 races. Martin's success comes after a disappointing 2023 season, where he narrowly lost the title to Bagnaia.
