Belarusian Officials Visit North Korea for Economic Cooperation Talks

A high-level Belarusian delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Shuleiko, is visiting North Korea from Tuesday to Friday at Pyongyang's invitation to attend the third meeting of the intergovernmental joint committee for trade and economic cooperation. The primary focus of the visit is to discuss trade and commercial exchanges between the two countries. This visit is part of ongoing efforts to deepen economic and potentially military ties, especially as both Belarus and North Korea strengthen their alignment with Russia amid the ongoing war in Ukraine. Previous high-level meetings, including one between top diplomats in July 2024, underscore the growing cooperation between Minsk and Pyongyang.
