Polish cyclist Katarzyna 'Kasia' Niewiadoma secured a dramatic victory in the 2024 Tour de France Femmes by just four seconds over defending champion Demi Vollering, the narrowest margin in the race's history. The race concluded with an intense final stage on the iconic Alpe d'Huez, where both cyclists had to climb without team support. Vollering, who had aggressively attacked on the Col du Glandon, initially widened the gap but ultimately fell short. Niewiadoma's win was based on a strategic balance of limiting damage and maintaining proximity to her rival.
