MJF Cast in Netflix's Happy Gilmore 2
Maxwell Jacob Friedman, known as MJF, a former AEW World Champion, has joined the cast of Netflix's upcoming sequel, Happy Gilmore 2, alongside Adam Sandler, Julie Bowen, and Christopher McDonald, all reprising their roles from the original film. While details of MJF's character remain undisclosed, he is set to play one of Happy Gilmore's sons in the comedy. This role follows MJF's recent involvement in Hollywood, where he also executive produced and starred in The Iron Claw and has upcoming projects including The Floaters and Stranglehold. MJF has been absent from AEW since his match at All Out 2024, raising questions about his return to wrestling amid his growing film career. The sequel, directed by Kyle Newacheck and co-written by Sandler, does not yet have a release date. MJF's transition into acting appears to be gaining momentum, highlighting his ambitions to balance both wrestling and Hollywood.
