Chawrun brings over 30 years of experience in gold mining, with previous leadership roles at Centerra Gold and Teranga Gold, where he was instrumental in operational improvements and major project expansions. His appointment is expected to support i-80 Gold’s development plan as it seeks to transform into a mid-tier gold producer and leverage its high-grade resources in Nevada. The move comes at a pivotal time for the company, which faces financial challenges but maintains strategic initiatives and growth ambitions.
