Alo Yoga to Open as First Retail Tenant at Hudson's Detroit

Alo, the athletic apparel retailer, has been announced as the first retail tenant for the new Hudson's Detroit development, marking its debut location in the city and only its second in Michigan. The store will open in late summer at 1272 Woodward Avenue in the office block of the $1.4 billion project, which will also house General Motors' headquarters. The Hudson's redevelopment, led by Bedrock, features a 1.5-million-square-foot complex that will include a public plaza, a five-star EDITION hotel, condominiums, event venues, and office spaces. This announcement is seen as a significant milestone in the revitalization of the long-dormant site of the former J.L. Hudson Department Store, once a flagship retail destination in Detroit. More retail tenants are expected to be revealed soon as the project approaches its public opening. Bedrock executives highlighted Alo's focus on wellness and community as aligning well with Detroit's ongoing growth and vibrancy.
