Travis Scott Invites HBCU Bands to Coachella 2025

Travis Scott is inviting historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) to participate in a unique performance at Coachella by showcasing their horn arrangements of his latest single '4×4.' He announced on X that he would like any college band, big or small, to join him on stage and is even considering covering a semester's tuition for the selected students. The song '4×4' debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Scott's fifth chart-topping hit, and he previously performed it during the College Football Playoff National Championship halftime show. His Coachella performance will be his first since 2017 and is being positioned as a fresh start in his musical career. Scott has also expressed his commitment to supporting HBCUs through initiatives like his Cactus Jack Foundation, which benefits students. The festival will take place over two weekends in April 2025, where Scott aims to deliver an immersive performance experience.
