A group of 35 students from remote schools in Jiribam district, Manipur, is participating in a National Integration Tour organized by Assam Rifles, which runs from September 2 to September 11, 2024. The tour aims to broaden their horizons by visiting cultural and educational sites in Agartala, Shillong, Guwahati, and Tezpur, and to foster national integration and pride. During their visit, the students interacted with Tripura Governor N Indrasena Reddy, who encouraged them to remain dedicated to their education and pursue their dreams. They also visited Ujjayanta Palace to learn about its historical significance. The initiative is part of Operation Sadbhavna, designed to provide better educational opportunities to children in remote areas. The tour includes 16 boys and 19 girls from classes VIII-X, accompanied by their teachers.
