Hill was eight shots behind the leader, Shaun Norris, at the start of the final day but surged to tie for the lead at 14 under par, alongside South Africans Jacques Kruyswijk and Norris. In the playoff, all three golfers parred the first hole, but Norris found water on the second, and Kruyswijk missed a par putt, allowing Hill to secure victory with a par. This win is Hill's first playoff victory and follows his 2021 Cazoo Classic win. The victory also propels Hill to 11th in the Race to Dubai.
