Naresh Bhatt Indicted for Wife's Murder and Defilement

Naresh Bhatt has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of murder, physically defiling, and concealing the dead body of his wife, Mamta Kafle Bhatt, who has been missing since July. Despite extensive searches, her body has not been recovered, but DNA evidence from their home indicates she was killed and dismembered. Bhatt's online searches about marriage and debt following a spouse's death have raised suspicions, in addition to his purchase of knives and cleaning supplies around the time of her disappearance. Manassas Park Police Chief Mario Lugo described the crime scene as one of the worst, with over 40 warrants pursued in the case. The community, especially the Nepalese community in Northern Virginia, remains concerned as the investigation continues.
