Two charged in $140,000 Taylor Swift ticket scam

Two individuals have been charged in an alleged Taylor Swift concert ticket scam that defrauded victims in Ontario out of approximately $140,000. The Halton Regional Police Service received 75 complaints about fraudulent tickets sold by a vendor using the alias 'Denise Blackhawk' on Facebook, particularly during the Toronto leg of Swift's Eras Tour in November 2024. Following a detailed investigation, police executed a search warrant at a Burlington residence on March 20, leading to the discovery of evidence related to the fraud. The suspects, identified as Tisor and Blake, face multiple charges including possession of property obtained by crime and have been released pending a court date.
