David Beaty Returns to High School Coaching

David Beaty, the former Kansas University head football coach, has been appointed as the head coach and athletic coordinator at Denton High School in Texas, marking his return to high school coaching. Beaty, a native of Garland, Texas, has a rich history in both high school and college football, including a 6-42 record during his tenure at Kansas from 2015 to 2018. He replaces Billy Miller at Denton High, which has not had a winning season since 2016. Before his collegiate career, Beaty coached at North Dallas and Irving MacArthur, accumulating a 39-15 record.
