Harrison County Grand Jury Indicts Curtis White Jr.
In Marshall, Texas, 18-year-old Curtis White Jr. was indicted for murder and aggravated assault following a drive-by shooting on July 16 that resulted in the death of 20-year-old Markel May. White allegedly shot at a vehicle, leading to May's death and injuring the driver. Meanwhile, 45-year-old Benjamin Dale Hawkins Jr. was arrested for vehicle burglaries, credit card abuse, and possession of stolen prescription medication after being caught acting suspiciously at a business. Hawkins is currently in jail on an $18,000 bond as the investigation continues. In a separate incident in Wenatchee, a traffic stop led to the arrest of a suspect named Tamayo, who was found with a significant quantity of fentanyl and methamphetamine, as well as a firearm, despite having prior felony convictions. Tamayo has not yet been formally charged but faces multiple serious allegations.
