Winnipeg Man Attempts Knife Attack on Pastor During Service

A Winnipeg man, Pawel Olownia, was arrested after attempting to attack a pastor with a knife during a Sunday service at Holy Ghost Church. The incident, captured in a 50-second livestream video, occurred around 6 p.m. when Olownia stormed the stage, tried to grab the pastor, and subsequently drove the knife into the altar before sitting down. Fortunately, the pastor escaped unharmed, and the suspect was detained by an off-duty RCMP officer and other attendees until police arrived. Winnipeg police reported that this was a random incident with no apparent motive, highlighting a disturbing trend of violent acts in places of worship. Olownia faces charges including assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon.
