McConnellsburg Woman Killed in Intersection Crash

Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, that occurred on August 7, 2024. The crash involved a 2009 Hyundai Genesis driven by 27-year-old Uniqua Alece Wykia Carter, who lost control and collided head-on with a 2015 Chevrolet Sierra. Carter was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to her injuries at the hospital, while her 11-year-old passenger was also hospitalized. Separately, a crash in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, claimed the life of 64-year-old Connie Seville when her Chevrolet Cruze ran a red light and struck a Dodge Caravan on August 2. Seville was pronounced dead at the scene, and her passenger was seriously injured and flown to a medical center. The driver of the Caravan was uninjured, and both vehicles sustained disabling damage.
