Federal Agents Raid Illegal Vape Distributors Across Six States

Federal agents conducted nationwide raids targeting illicit vaping products in six states, seizing hundreds of thousands of units, primarily from distributors and retailers accused of selling flavored, THC-infused, and opioid-like compound-containing vapes. The largest seizure occurred at Midwest Distribution/Midwest Goods Inc. in Bensenville, Illinois, where 600,000 illegal vape units smuggled mostly from China were confiscated. Attorney General Pam Bondi and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. emphasized the health risks posed by these products, noting that China heavily regulates such vapes domestically while dumping dangerous items into the U.S. market. The operation involved multiple agencies, including the FDA, ATF, U.S. Marshals, and was part of an ongoing effort by the Trump administration to enforce regulations and remove unsafe vaping products from American communities. Midwest Goods stated they are cooperating with authorities and highlighted issues with delayed FDA approvals for e-liquid products. The raids followed a Supreme Court ruling supporting the FDA's authority to restrict flavored e-cigarettes to protect youth health.
