Leicester Police Arrest Five Over Attempted Murder Stabbing

Five people have been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident in Leicester's Eyres Monsell area, involving a man in his 20s who remains in hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. The stabbing occurred shortly before 9:15pm on July 11 on Sturdee Road, and the victim subsequently made his way to an address on nearby Lawford Road where emergency services were called. Among the arrested individuals, three—including a 36-year-old woman and two men aged 18 and 29—face suspicion of attempted murder, while others are suspected of conspiracy to commit murder and assisting an offender. All suspects and the victim are known to each other, and two suspects remain in police custody with the rest released on bail as investigations continue. Police are conducting house-to-house inquiries and examining the crime scene, urging witnesses or anyone with video footage to come forward to aid the ongoing investigation. Detective Sergeant Adrian Davies highlighted that the incident occurred during daylight with warm weather, suggesting potential eyewitnesses nearby, and emphasized the importance of public assistance in solving the case.
