Minnesota Lawmakers Targeted in Deadly Home Attacks

Minnesota state Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband were killed, while State Senator John Hoffman and his wife were wounded, in targeted, politically motivated shootings at their homes north of Minneapolis. The suspect, who remains at large, impersonated a law enforcement officer and used a vehicle resembling a police SUV. Investigators found a manifesto in the suspect's abandoned vehicle listing additional potential targets, prompting a shelter-in-place order as authorities, including the FBI, continue the manhunt.
