Shooting at Tuscaloosa Community Center Kills One

A 23-year-old man was fatally shot during a private event at the McDonald Hughes Community Center in Tuscaloosa around 4 p.m. on Saturday. The victim was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center but was pronounced dead upon arrival. Authorities from the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit are investigating the incident, which may involve issues of self-defense, and no arrests have been made so far. Multiple witnesses and the shooter have been interviewed, and video footage from the scene is being reviewed.
