Barclays WSL 2025/26 Fixtures Announced Across England

The fixtures for the 2025/26 Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL) season have been officially released, with the campaign starting the weekend of September 5-7, coinciding with a men's international break. Arsenal, the current UEFA Women’s Champions League holders, will open their season against newly promoted London City Lionesses at the Emirates Stadium, while Chelsea, the reigning WSL champions, begin their title defense against Manchester City. Tottenham Hotspur start their season with a London derby against West Ham United, also scheduled for early September. Key fixtures include a Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton, Arsenal facing Chelsea in November, and Tottenham meeting Arsenal in north London derbies during the season. All WSL matches will be broadcast live across Sky Sports, BBC, and YouTube, with all eleven of Arsenal Women’s home matches played at the Emirates Stadium for the first time. The season will conclude in May 2026, with a play-off system introduced between the bottom WSL club and third-placed WSL2 club as part of an expansion plan to increase the league to 14 teams from 2026-27.
