Mexican Choir Teacher Sentenced for Child Pornography

Orlando Diaz-Ramirez, a Mexican choir teacher in Texas, has been sentenced to over eight years in prison for receiving and possessing child pornography. Diaz-Ramirez admitted to receiving 300 videos from Israel Flores and was found with additional illicit content on his Dropbox account. Both Diaz-Ramirez and Flores were sentenced to pay restitution to victims, register as sex offenders, and face supervised release post-incarceration. The case, which began in 2020, revealed a disturbing network of child pornography distribution involving the choir teacher and his associate, leading to their significant prison terms and potential deportation for Diaz-Ramirez.
