Two Juveniles Hit by School Buses in Separate North Las Vegas Incidents
On Monday afternoon in northwest Las Vegas, two separate incidents occurred involving pedestrians being hit by school buses within minutes of each other. The first incident happened around 3:23 p.m. near Bradley Road and West Tropical Parkway, close to Lied STEM Academy, where a juvenile student was struck and hospitalized with serious injuries; impairment was not suspected. The second incident occurred shortly after, around 3:44 p.m., near Jones Boulevard and Madre Mesa Drive, resulting in minor injuries and was handled by school police. Both crashes prompted road closures as investigations were conducted, and drivers were advised to avoid the affected areas. Authorities have not released further details about the victims, but the first student's condition is described as critical. Clark County School Police are assisting with the investigations into both events.
