Stanford Coach Faces Bullying Allegations and Probes

Stanford head football coach Troy Taylor has been the subject of two investigations following allegations of bullying and belittling female staff members, as well as making inappropriate comments. The investigations, reported by ESPN, involved over 20 current and former staffers and highlighted Taylor's hostile and aggressive behavior, including attempts to remove an NCAA compliance officer who flagged potential rules violations. Despite signing a warning letter in February 2024 acknowledging the possibility of termination if his behavior continued, subsequent complaints led to a second investigation concluding in July 2024. Taylor, who remains in his position, stated he has used the investigations as a learning opportunity to improve his leadership and interactions. Stanford confirmed the investigations and emphasized their commitment to maintaining high workplace standards, taking measures to address Taylor's conduct. Taylor has been the head coach for two seasons, each ending with a 3-9 record for the team.
