IndiGo Launches Direct Flights to Mauritius

IndiGo has announced the launch of direct flights from Bengaluru to Mauritius, starting on November 19, 2024, making it the first airline to operate on this route. The airline will offer four weekly flights, enhancing connectivity between India's tech hub and Mauritius, a key gateway to East Africa, while marking its 35th international destination and 123rd overall. This new service aims to boost tourism, trade, and business collaborations, with Mauritius being a preferred destination for Indian investors due to its favorable business environment. Vinay Malhotra, IndiGo’s Head of Global Sales, highlighted that the direct flights will reduce travel time and provide more convenience, especially with visa-on-arrival for Indian citizens. The route is expected to facilitate deeper economic ties and opportunities for both leisure and business travelers. IndiGo continues to expand its international footprint while focusing on affordability and on-time performance.
