Murder investigation launched after Glasgow man's death
Police Scotland has launched a murder investigation following the discovery of 55-year-old James Jarvis's body in a property on Monar Street in Glasgow. Officers were called to the scene around 9:20 AM on March 5, where they found Jarvis deceased, and they subsequently located his black VW Golf nearby on Auckland Street. Detective Chief Inspector Graham McCreadie described the investigation as 'challenging' and urged the public to assist by providing any information or footage related to the case, emphasizing that even minor details could be crucial. The family of Jarvis has been informed and has requested privacy during this difficult time. An online portal has been set up for the public to submit information directly to detectives. As the investigation unfolds, police are focusing on establishing Jarvis’s movements leading up to his death.
