Rockets Acquire Durant, Pursue Lillard in Offseason
The Houston Rockets have made major offseason moves, most notably acquiring superstar Kevin Durant from the Phoenix Suns in a blockbuster trade. The team has also signed Dorian Finney-Smith (four years, $53 million) and brought back Clint Capela (three years, $21.5 million) to strengthen their defense and frontcourt. Center Steven Adams was re-signed to add further depth alongside Capela and Alperen Sengun. Veterans Aaron Holiday and Jeff Green were retained on one-year minimum contracts to provide bench stability. Houston is reportedly pursuing nine-time All-Star Damian Lillard, recently waived by Milwaukee and recovering from a torn Achilles. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have added center Deandre Ayton on a two-year, $16.6 million deal after his buyout from Portland.
