Two Stabbings Reported; Fall River Suspect in Custody
Two separate stabbing incidents were reported this week. In Cass Lake, Minn., on Oct. 4 at about 2:24 a.m., a 29-year-old man was stabbed multiple times, treated at the scene and airlifted to a Fargo hospital with non-life-threatening injuries; investigators say the victim’s and a witness’s accounts were inconsistent and the probe remains active. In Fall River, Mass., police responded around 2:15 a.m. to 57 Chesworth St., where a 53-year-old man was found with a chest injury, was taken to Charlton Memorial Hospital and pronounced dead shortly thereafter. Authorities say a suspect is in custody and the Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office and Fall River Police are leading an ongoing homicide investigation, with identities and further details withheld because the investigation is active.
