Yankees, Twins, Dodgers Recall Pitchers Amid Injuries
Several MLB teams have made recent roster moves involving recalls from Triple-A amid injuries. The Yankees recalled Jayvien Sandridge, who has shown strong performance in Triple-A and will make his MLB debut as Clarke Schmidt goes to the injured list due to a forearm issue. The Twins brought back Kody Funderburk to add a third lefty to their bullpen after he made nine relief appearances this season. The Dodgers recalled Will Klein from Triple-A Oklahoma City to replace Michael Kopech, who was placed on the injured list with right knee inflammation, with Klein expected to hold a middle relief role. Meanwhile, Jacob Young of the Washington Nationals has shown significant defensive improvement after returning from a shoulder injury, highlighted by an outstanding catch and improved base running, which has helped him regain his status as a valuable regular player despite a previously slow start to the season.
