Former Soldier Killed in Boxing Day Hit-and-Run

Lee Kervin, a 50-year-old former soldier, was tragically killed in a hit-and-run incident while cycling home to see his son on Boxing Day in Ormskirk, Lancashire. Described as a 'chatty social butterfly' by his family, he succumbed to his injuries after being struck by a vehicle, despite emergency services' efforts to save him. Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident: a 29-year-old on suspicion of dangerous driving and a 58-year-old for failing to stop at the scene. Kervin's family is urging witnesses to come forward as they mourn the loss of a devoted father and community member. Having previously served in the Royal Green Jackets, he was known for his helpful nature and dedication to raising his son, Brad.
