Uzbek National Arrested in Kirillov Assassination

Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has detained a 29-year-old Uzbek citizen suspected of assassinating Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of the military's chemical protection forces, through a remote-controlled bomb explosion outside his Moscow apartment. The FSB claims the suspect was recruited by Ukrainian intelligence and promised $100,000 for the assassination, which occurred shortly after Ukraine charged Kirillov with war crimes. The bomb was hidden in an electric scooter and detonated remotely as Kirillov left his building.
