Healthcare Worker Defends Actions in Exploitation Case

Lucrecia Kormassa Koiyan, a 19-year-old healthcare worker from Loganville, Georgia, has been charged with felony exploitation of a disabled person after posting a TikTok video of herself twerking on the head of a disabled patient. The video, which went viral, showed Koiyan in scrubs and a stethoscope dancing provocatively above the patient, leading to her arrest by the Loganville Police Department. Police Chief Dick Lowry expressed disgust at the act, emphasizing the exploitation involved in using a disabled person for social media attention. Koiyan was working in an in-home adult daycare program at the time of the incident, and authorities are investigating additional videos that may involve other victims. Despite the backlash, Koiyan attempted to defend her actions, claiming the patient was aware and comfortable, a statement which police have not verified. The investigation is ongoing as Koiyan remains in custody at the Walton County Jail.
