Investigation Underway After Pickup Truck Fire in Bourne

On Saturday morning, Bourne Police responded to multiple 911 calls regarding a truck fire on Crows Nest Drive around 2:30 a.m. Officers found flames inside a parked pickup truck and were able to extinguish the fire using patrol car extinguishers, preventing any spread to surrounding areas. The truck sustained significant interior damage, but no injuries were reported. Due to the nature of the fire, the Massachusetts State Police Fire Marshals were called in to investigate, with assistance from the Bourne Fire Department. The investigation is ongoing, as officials seek to determine the cause of the fire. The scene was secured by local authorities while they conducted their inquiry.
