Lana Del Rey made an impromptu appearance outside the Institution brewpub in Santa Barbara, asking to join local band Fastest Kids in School as they covered her 2014 song "West Coast." Video posted to the band's Instagram shows Del Rey casually sharing a microphone with the group after telling a band member she was "out getting some ice cream," and the musicians called the moment unforgettable. The brief duet was widely shared online and noted alongside reminders that "West Coast" originally appeared on Ultraviolence. Del Rey has been teasing a long-delayed new album now titled Stove (previously Lasso/The Right Person Will Stay), which is due at the end of January 2026.
