Meghan Duggan Joins PWHL as Special Consultant

Meghan Duggan, a three-time U.S. Olympian and director of player development for the New Jersey Devils, has been named a special consultant to the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) hockey operations department. Duggan brings extensive experience from her successful playing career, including winning an Olympic gold medal in 2018 and multiple IIHF Women's World Championships. Her role will involve advising on player safety, rules, and the standard of play, as well as contributing to the league's growth and innovation efforts, such as the 'Jail-Break' rule and potential league expansion. Jayna Hefford, PWHL senior vice president, praised Duggan as a proven leader and advocate for women's hockey who will significantly benefit the league. Duggan expressed her enthusiasm for advancing the women's game and assisting the league in realizing its potential. Previously, she was involved with the PWHL as a guest coach at the 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend.
