Manchester United signs Bryan Mbeumo, eyes Fernandes partnership
Bryan Mbeumo, Manchester United's new signing from Brentford, expressed excitement about playing alongside captain Bruno Fernandes, highlighting Fernandes' ability to create scoring opportunities with precise passes and crosses. Mbeumo, who signed a five-year deal for £65 million plus add-ons, praised Fernandes' football intelligence, saying strikers just need to make the right runs to receive perfect balls. Joining United as their third summer signing, Mbeumo follows the arrivals of Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon, with the club also linked to forwards Ollie Watkins and Benjamin Sesko. Mbeumo described Watkins as a "complete striker" capable of contributing in many ways. The team is currently preparing for the 2025-26 Premier League season, starting with a home match against Arsenal on August 17. Mbeumo looks forward to developing chemistry with Fernandes both on and off the pitch to help improve United's attacking prowess after a challenging previous season.
