Jackson Police Department has arrested two individuals in connection with separate homicide cases. Anthony Hawkins, 24, was apprehended and charged with murder following the stabbing death of Deandre McDonald on West McDowell Road, reported at approximately 5:30 a.m. last Thursday. In a separate incident, Phillip Owens, 29, was arrested and charged with murder for the fatal shooting of Gregory Bowen, which occurred on September 1 in the 1600 block of Raymond Road. Both investigations are ongoing, and authorities are seeking additional information from the public.
