Oscar Winner Ariana DeBose Returns Off-Broadway in Rare Musical Revival

Ariana DeBose, the Oscar-winning actress known for her role in West Side Story, is set to star as Geneviève in the first full-scale New York City production of the 1976 musical The Baker’s Wife at Classic Stage Company. Opening on November 11, 2025, and running through December 14, this Off-Broadway revival marks DeBose's return to the stage after several years. The musical, with a book by Joseph Stein and music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, follows a baker and his wife in a French village, capturing themes of romance and community, highlighted by the iconic song "Meadowlark."
